Hey Baltimore, It’s Me Again:

I took a trip this past weekend down to Baltimore to visit the one and only Mateo Yayo at the Broom Factory Factory (BFF). I consider the Baltimore music and art scene to be pretty special. It has that underground feel and quality of something great that has yet to be ~~fully~~ discovered. I think it’s dope, and I’m looking forward to enjoying it again soon.

More AddVice: A Photoshop Journey

These are two more promotional flyers (made for Instagram), with five more to come, that I’ve designed for Callistus’ EP, AddVice. I have to say that working in Photoshop is still completely new to me, but my comfort level with the program has improved significantly over the past month. I’ve been able to teach myself a few more things, and now I no longer want to bash my head in out of frustration in mid-session. Like life, it’s all about growth ~~I guess~~.

This is the first promo flyer I designed for my good friend, recording artist Callistus. Days after hosting a private listening session, he quietly released his debut EP “AddVice” on February 3rd. It’s a 9 track project largely recorded and exclusively mixed at the Brewery Recording Studio alongside owner/engineer Andrew Krivinos.

The most important lesson that I’ve learned on this journey towards self-realization is that you dictate your own pace. You are what you are. It’s up to you to be receptive to your inner-voice and be prepared to take action. Be willing to take a few risks here and there, and if need be, press the re-boot button. Things won’t always go exactly as planned. In fact, they seldom do. But, in my experience, it wasn’t until I confronted the real possibility of failure that I started to feel the needle moving in the right direction. Embrace the challenge. Something spectacular surely awaits you. My belief is that tampering with the foundation will unearth it.
